Healthy Advantage

At the Four of a Kind Ranch & Cattle Co. our cattle are Registered Black Angus. Our cattle get the best climates Arizona has to offer - the desert in the winter months and the forest in the summer months. We are always mindful to be wise stewards of the natural resources of the desert and forest. Utilizing today’s scientific resources to continually improve the genetics of our herd is of great importance. The well-being and health of the cattle are paramount at the 4K. We employ consistent health protocols of mineral supplements, vaccines, and worming.

Being range raised in both the desert and the forest our cattle are eating natural pasture grasses. Pasture-raised beef is high in healthy Omega-3 fatty acids, along with being vitamin-rich and nutrient-dense. You can feel confident the meat you are eating is safe and healthy.

How to Purchase Our Beef

Locker Beef

4K beef is sold by the whole or half beef. Our steers usually weigh approximately 1500 pounds when harvested.  The average whole hanging carcass weight is 900 pounds. The hanging weight is usually 60% of the live weight, and the cut and packaged meat is, on average, about 60% of the hanging weight. This results in approximately 540 pounds depending on the cut selections you make. If you prefer a half a beef, divide the packaged weight in half. Please refer to the available “Popular meat cut options” link to assist in selecting the cuts you want. The Order Cut Sheet is below. Exact quantities are based on animals’ actual weights.

How to Place an Order

When buying 4K beef, you get to decide exactly how your beef is butchered by completing an Order Cut Sheet. Each individual cut is in cyrovac packaging by our USDA butcher. When buying whole or half beef, the price is $11.99 per pound. This is a significant saving to the grocery store or farmer’s market prices. Due to demand and availability, the beef is sold on a first-come basis.

 

Fill out our Order Cut Sheet, and contact 4K  today to buy your delicious, flavorful, and tender beef. A 50% deposit is required when submitting your cut sheet.
